1) Use active note-taking - Don't just copy slides, write work in a way that is interesting to you. 2) Keep calm - You're going to be a bit anxious durring exam periods, performance is best with a medium level of anxiety. Excessive stress and anxiety will trigger a flight or flight response negatively effecting performance. 3) Plan revision - Make yourself a schedule and stick to it. If you break up your studies into smaller parts, the work isn't as overwhelming. 4) Regular exercise is hugely important for cognitive ability and mental well being. 5) Get into good sleeping habits and find your natural cycle. Sleep is very important to cognitive function. 6) Revision notes are useful, but working through past exam papers is essential, 7) Don't study tired, you simply won't remember as much. Also, make sure you've eaten. 8) Take a break if you're stuck on something - Move onto something else and come back or do something completely different. 9) Keep distractions to a minimum - Find somewhere quiet to work. I strongly recommend not browsing the internet or watching TV during breaks, as you end up spending more time on your "break" than you intended
