Stephanie tutors mathematics (up to A-level), and she also tutors science (up to GCSE) and for entrance exam preparation.

With the increasing pressure on the state school system and the huge variation in the ability of schools to cope with poor behaviour, increased paperwork and interference in curricula, it is invariably students and their studies which suffer. Exceptional students can find themselves hampered by the "one size fits all" nature of classroom teaching, and students who would otherwise have no difficulties with the material can find that they struggle because the school system cannot provide that small amount of extra time which would be required to deal with the problems that they are encountering.

Private tuition in a quiet, calm and professional environment can assist you or your child with getting back on track, and can help with preventing the more gifted student from becoming bored by the slow pace of their studies in the traditional school setting.

One-to-one private tuition allows a student to question the tutor directly, and for the content and the pace of the tuition to be precisely tuned to the needs of the student. Attention can be targeted at the areas where the student needs help, at the areas identified by a specific exam or curriculum, or at any areas that a student feels they might wish to explore further. With younger students, parents/guardians are naturally kept fully up-to-date on progress.
