Date : 05/07/2023
INTRODUCTION.
Students who have improved their numeracy are equipped with mathematical knowledge, abilities, behaviours, and attitudes that allow them to tackle issues in a wide range of settings. It takes good courage, motivation, and appreciation for students/learners to put into use their mathematical skills and training and understanding into use on daily basis. Additionally, it requires one to be appreciated for one’s mathematical use and its awareness and its significance daily. (Birgisdottir et al., 2020).The majority of people`s encounters with mathematics centre on topics such as numbers, measurements, and geometry, in addition to statistics and probability. The capacity of people to perceive the dynamic relationship that exists between the natural world and the human world is directly correlated to their comfort with algebra, functions and relations, logic, mathematical structure, and mathematical endeavour (Cameron et al., 2019).Research ObjectiveSome of them are:· To analyse the need and importance of literacy skills in mathematics· To explore ways students can be supported to develop their literacy skills in mathematics· To evaluate the impact of literacy skills on mathematics studentsResearch Question
