How to remember what you need for each type of writing

Most students need a quick and easy method to remember in the two exams which type of language device they need to analyse and use in their own writing.
The easy acronyms help in this respect. DAFORELCT for non fiction rhetorical language devices covers the main types, although the list is not exhaustive.
D is for Direct Address
A is for Alliteration
F is for Facts and Figures
O is for Opinion
R is for Repetition and Rhetorical questions
E is for Emotive language
L is for Lists
C is for Contrast
T is for Triplets
With Figurative Language devices the acronym is simpler AMOPS:
A is for Alliteration
M is for Metaphor
O is for Onomatopoeia
P is for Personification
S is for Simile
