A good question! And no unfortunately not in this case our furry little friend. A mole is a unit of measurement for the amount of a substance. A mole is a Chemist`s handy tool to make very vast macroscopic calculations simple!
For example: A mole is 6.022x1023 particles which are either atoms, molecules, ions or electrons.
The chemistry link comes in as this value is labelled Avogadro`s constant, and it is equal to the number of atoms in 12 g of Carbon-12.
