The maths element of the DT course can be a real challenge.
You are being asked to apply maths in real world settings which can be really hard.
The best way to start is to remember that this is a practical use of maths. So if you have a set amount of material you should remember that you can stretch it or glue bits together to try and get more.
Usually these questions are about area, tessellation and how many of an item you could cut.
Don t forget that straight forward maths and DT maths are different things. If you have a circle of material and you need to cut a square with a set size- you will always have bits left over- but you won t be able to get a second square out of it.
