Revision Tips

You should use a consistent routine for revision so that you can spend as much time as possible being productive. Firstly you should create a quiet space where you will not be distracted. Secondly, you must allocate a specific time every week for revision. This should be in addition to regular homework hours.

Revision Routine:

1. Check the specification and choose a topic to revise.

2. Ensure you are aware the content that the specification relates to, i.e. that you are studying the right content.

3. Recall the key ideas - write them down in a mind map or lists.

4. Review your resources, add in anything you missed in an additional colour.

5. Complete practice questions. This can be a combination of MCQ and longer answers.

6. Mark your questions. Write additional notes about what extra information/ideas you needed to include.

7. Revise using your resources again to clarify any ideas you got incorrect. If you are still unsure, ask your teacher or tutor for assistance.
