In addition to tutoring English and History, recently it was fun and invigorating to start coaching a young man for the Army Officer Selection Board in October (in to get into Sandhurst) .

This young man has all the latent skills and instincts of a good officer, but no military experience and so lacks a bit of the confident polish he needs to get the Board easily to see his real qualities. He wants to join the infantry, and is a professional triathlete. But I let neither of those two peculiarities deter me!

It s reassuring that there still are good people in our society wanting to serve Queen and country, who just need their Sandhurst instructors to apply the best officer training in the world to them. It s that ethos that still binds we who have left the military together. Reacquaint in myself with Serve To Lead has been essential food for the soul.
