Ever wondered why we are here and what is it all about? How do plants know how to arrange their branches according to the Fibonacci sequence and the Golden Ratio? Why is the Golden Ratio the only number whose reciprocal can produce the same number with the "1" added or removed? Why is it so special? Why did the Egyptians use it to build their pyramids.

How do numbers know how to perform the magic and the weird and wonderful complex arrangements that surround us? Without mathematical truths that govern the laws of physics we would not be here. How can they exist, and yet without us they would not exist? But they have done their work long before our arrival on this planet......

Whether there is some higher creator intelligence or numbers just know what to do, we may never know? But, one thing is for sure, as we find out more, and that is we are slowly coming to the conclusion that we need to continue to explore and have faith in our own ability to find out the truth.

What makes maths and science so beautiful is that they can be used to test out our wacky ideas - like Einstein`s Special and General Theories of Relativity. Hopefully, one day, we will unite all of the forces, and all of the infinitesimally large universal and infinitesimally small atomic quantum domains.

As scientists delve deeper into the particles that make up atomic elements, and stretch further into the mysteries of the universe, they are also beginning to conclude that there is a role for how we and the maths that governs our laws of psychology also play a direct role in our own perception of the world.

All the mathematics that we learn can be applied in everyday life, whether it is the algebra involved in collecting like valued coins when counting up a pile of change, or the use of sets and probabilities when looking at social structures in Sociology.

Statistics is a branch of mathematics used in absolutely any environment you care to think about. Everything from commercial applications and looking at company sales to improve turnover and profits to clinical trials and the use of statistical probabilities and distributions to determine the level of impact and effectiveness of drugs and treatments in the pharmaceutical industry and medical fields.

Maths is everywhere..... Maths is fun..... Maths is important...... Maths is interesting.......
