Composite numbers are whole numbers that has at least at least one positive divisor, other than 1 or that number itself. All the whole numbers greater than 1 are either a prime number or a composite number, depending upon their number of divisors. Number 1 is neither a prime number, nor a composite number. 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19 are few examples of prime numbers. Number 9 is an example of a composite number as it can be divided by 3, apart from numbers 1 and 9. Some other examples of composite numbers are 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14 and so on.
