Colour is an extremely complicated and difficult phenomenon. Here is something that most people don`t understand about colour... Objects don`t have colour! They all have surfaces that interact and reflect light differently. Our eye then receives the reflected light and translates that and sends the information to the brain. Colour doesn`t exist without humans, moreover colour is different for everyone.

What is fascinating about colour especially in today`s culture is the way it interacts. How a colour appears is dependant on the colours in it`s vicinity. For example, a colour will look brighter on a darker surface. While the same colour will look darker on a lighter surface. Different hues will also effect the appearance of other hues. I have been working on a way to utilise and understand this instability to formulate a way to combine colours successfully in fashion. There is a formula that will allow anyone to dress with colour in the most balance way... I will write about that next time.
