1. Do not rush. Learn each part of the syllabus or module one at a time. This will help you to understand it better, and most importantly to be able to identify the material if it comes up in a question.

2. Do not just read the material/notes and think that you understand it then and there. Write them out in your own words. Write down the examples. Only through these actions will you make the connections in your brain stronger.

3. Practise questions. The first one will always be tricky, and you may need to refer to solutions or to written examples. This is perfectly normal. The second one should be doable without solutions, but maybe with written solutions. By the third one, you should be able to do it completely independently. Eventually, you should reach a stage where you can even enjoy doing the questions - self satisfaction when you can do questions with ease is one of the best feelings in the world.
