He told me that he’d come here on his own and hadn’t had anyone here in Coventry. I was sort of surprised that he managed to speak English fluently being here for a year. Moreover, I witnessed when he used his German, as we were on a field trip in Germany. He said he had been studying German since he’d been 8 years old.
