"I learn Chinese (Mandarin) in a small group of 4-5 which meets once a week in a private arrangement with Zhen ; originally she taught us in a local authority class which was closed because of its small numbers, so we came to the private arrangement with her. I find her an excellent teacher who is very tolerant of my rather slow learning ; I find the language very difficult. Zhen provides a structured course with a good mixture of reading and speaking in class and written translation , both Chinese into English and the reverse, as homework. The class have become good friends and we occasionally meet outside the weekly class, sometimes in Zhen`s home where she also teaches another small class each week. I would certainly recommend Zhen as a very capable and patient tutor to an individual or to a small class of beginners who need individual help and attention. "
