"I`m happy to recommend Percy without reservation. I was his personal tutor for three years at Oxford. He was the best historian in his year at St Hugh`s, earning a double first (first class marks in Prelims and Finals) that ranked him 36 out of 234 historians in the university (there were 71 firsts in total). He specialised in early-modern history but has a good range of knowledge, and has the ability to go onto to postgraduate work and an academic career. I`ve never seen him teach, but he is intelligent, thoughtful, lively, enthusiastic and likeable, and so I have no doubt that he would be a very good teacher. He is organised and efficient.
