I am an experienced and dedicated tutor who aims to provide an exceptional tuition service that caters to the varying needs of students wishing to take an entrance exam or who need additional support with English and Mathematics. With over 28 years teaching experience within a primary school setting and tutoring 11 plus, including some time working as a Literacy Consultant in Cheshire, I have a wealth of knowledge and experience to deliver the very best standard of tuition.

I have an up to date knowledge of all exam content and am equipped with the knowledge and skills to prepare children for the 11 plus exam and all other Entrance exams across the Wirral and Cheshire.My main aim to help improve confidence and to help pupils find education rewarding while making sure that the lessons are directed to achieving success in their entrance exams such as the 11 plus.

Experience: I started my career as a Primary School teacher and enjoyed 28 years of teaching the whole age range. I have spent some time during my career advising and training many teachers throughout Cheshire in the subjects of Mathematics and English. Within my own school setting I played a lead role in developing the Mathematics and English curriculum. From there, I made the move to start private tuition across the Wirral and have professionally tutored many children in preparation for 11 plus, Upton Hall and St Anselm’s entrance exams. I have an excellent success record, with the majority of children succeeding in their exams and moving onto their first choice secondary school.

I now run the Wirrals largest 11 plus plus educational centre: 11 PLus Wirral and have weekly group classes. The classroom has all resources necessary for learning including a library, wifi and whiteboard.
