Information about Teresa

Hello, I am an experienced and qualified teacher/lecturer of Maths and Biology and now specialise in supporting students with Maths, English and Science at GCSE and Biology at AS & A2. I am well motivated and have plenty of patience for students who struggle to comprehend new material coupled with a flexible approach and provide guidance for what the examiners are looking for.

With excellent knowledge of subject material and student learning styles, gathered over 17 years of teaching, the tuition I offer is bespoke and tailored to your learning approach, making use of a wide variety of resources for all different styles of learning. This approach also equips students with the necessary study skills and exam board savvy needed for lifelong learning.

I am available for tutoring at my home or would be willing to travel up to 3 miles to teach at your home.

Availability: *Online lessons ONLY available! These lessons are cheaper as they avoid travelling, include resources via email and can be arranged via the site or using a medium such as Skype, googlemeet, zoom etc.

It is of great pleasure to give me this opportunity to write about Miss Teresa Smithers. She is tutoring me on A2 Biology, it was evident that she is one of the best professional tutors I have ever met with a very kind heart and understanding of students’ situations.
During the first lesson, we discussed my goal and she accordingly established the teaching plan and approach to follow in order to achieve my target. After each lesson, I gain a lot of knowledge due to her teaching approach and full utilisation of the lesson time. She has also been very supportive with my UCAS application.
