Your teachers will tell you that your school days are the best days of your life but if you find some lessons a struggle then it can make your life at school very difficult and unenjoyable.

This is where tutors, like me, can help you. Whether you want to get better at a particular subject or just want to know what you need to do to get a certain grade in your exams, I can help. I am also very willing to help with CV writing and UCAS applications. Similarly, I am able to mentor primary school children in verbal and non-verbal reasoning.

I have just graduated from university with a first class degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Bath but prior to that I have been a tutor to around twenty individual students and am proud to have helped raise exam results by up to four grades for each student. I can cover a range of subjects and am very patient, cheerful and good at explaining concepts to different age groups. My tutoring sessions won`t be like a normal school lesson- I always endevour to make every tutee look forward to learning and to have more confidence in their weaker subjects through a range of teaching and mentoring techniques. I remember GCSEs and A Levels well- the key to doing really well is knowing what the examiners expect and how to master exam techniques for the different subjects. I always make a great effort to pass this knowledge on to my students.

It is important that the student is happy and comfortable with their tutor for the most progress to be made. If you would like a preliminary meeting before agreeing to tutoring sessions then I would be more than happy to do that.
