Experience: I have many years of experience both in the classroom and in private tuition at a number of levels. I have been a Head Teacher and Year Six Form Tutor in a Preparatory School preparing pupils for 11+ and Common Entrance examinations. I have also taught Classics, French and English at Secondary level up to GCSE and Advanced Level standard. Having been a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator, I have helped students with various needs and difficulties, especially de-motivated pupils and those with dyslexia and autistic issues. This has been challenging but extremely rewarding work. In my role as a Private Tutor I have enabled students to become up to speed with class work, course work and preparation for public examinations. I also teach for admission to state grammar schools at 11+ and for admission to independent schools at 7+, 11+ and 13+. My experience in both state and independent sectors proves invaluable.
