I am a qualified secondary teacher of science, with biology being my specialist subject, with over 14 years of teaching experience. My educational background is a first class honours BSc degree in biomedical science and a MSc in medical and molecular microbiology from the University of Manchester. I have experience of teaching all three sciences to GCSE and Biology to `A` level in a variety of schools.

My friendly and flexible approach to teaching ensures that students enjoy the tutoring sessions and I tailor my sessions to the needs of the individual student. I focus on helping the student understand the subject rather than memorise the information, which results in the student achieving the best possible grades.

I am also an examiner for one of the UK exam boards and have been marking GCSE Combined Science exams for over 10 years. My experience of marking has enabled the students I tutor to develop excellent exam skills and optimise preparation for public examinations.

The ability of students I tutor varies greatly and all students make excellent progress. I am equally proud of students who achieve a grade 9 at GCSE or A at A level and students for whom Science is challenging and work hard to secure a good pass.
