Willing to travel:10 miles
Experience: I have been employed as a teacher of history, religious studies and physical education since qualifying from The University of Liverpool in 2003. I have a first class in Physical Education, Sports Science and History and have written a number of academic journals in the area of the sociology of sport.
I was employed between 2003 and 2007 at The North Halifax Grammar School where I taught physical education, history and religious studies to key stages three four and five and this included introducing A Level Physical Education to the school for the first time. I was observed by Ofsted in the January inspection of 2005 and was described as an "outstanding" teacher. I was also in charge of rugby at the school and in the district for four years and guided eight championship winning teams to regional and national success during my years at the school, this contributing to my appointment as English Schools Coach in 2007.
From September 2007 to the present I have been employed as Teacher of History, Religious Studies and Physical Education and School Sport Coordinator at Audenshaw School in Manchester. This involves teaching each of these subjects across key stages three, four and five including additional work within a cluster of local primary schols where I am in charge of the planning and delivery of their PE and extra curricular sporting programmes.
