I am a retired university lecturer and am highly experienced across the education sector. I have an enhanced DBS certificate. I am an examination assessor for Sociology AS and A level.

I am committed to enabling my students to reach their full potential. I encourage through my own enthusiasm an enjoyment of the subject and work on building the students confidence as well as their knowledge base.

I have over twenty years teaching experience and am happy to work both one to one and in small groups. I tutor in the students home or in a private centre whichever is preferred.

My lessons are student focussed, knowledge based and supportive, always designed around your specific needs. I practice exam techniques with all my students to ensure they are fully prepared.

Availability: Monday to Fridays: morning, afternoon and evening
Saturday: morning and afternoon

Willing to travel: 30 miles

Experience: I have taught in schools, adult education, further education and universities. I have taught at all levels including: tefl GCSE A level BTEC Undergraduate and postgraduate.

As well as my specific subjects I have specialised in study support and research methods and offer these at all levels where extra support is required.
