Information about Tom
I did my undergraduate degree in maths at the University of Oxford and my PhD in chemical engineering at the University of Nottingham. I have been providing mentoring and private tuition with great success for 10 years.

Willing to travel: 50 miles
Experience: I have tutored over 120 students over the last 10 years, with an exceptional success rate. I have a good knowledge of all exam boards and syllabuses.
Some highlights:
> I have a 100% success rate with my students at common entrance level (11+/13+/16+ to schools such as Winchester, Rugby, Shrewsbury, and Tonbridge)
> Notable success at GCSE and A-Level. For example, two students getting A* at GCSE maths with another going from a U-grade in September to a C in the final exams in May.
> I helped a student to achieve an A in AS maths in May, having been predicted a C in January.
> I also helped a BTEC student achieve a distinction in his engineering course.

Tom helped me with my Mechanical Engineering BTEC Level 3 which, was a particularly challenging course due to errors in the workbooks.
My course was Home Study and Tom gave me the tutoring that I really needed to help my complete my course. He has a great teaching style which he tailored to my requirements.
I was getting frustrated before Tom came to help, and he helped put my enjoyment back into my engineering passion.
I finished the course with a Distinction
