I am a highly qualified and experienced primary school teacher and private tutor.
I have excellent references from parents whose children went on to achieve excellent results or to pass 7+ and 11+ in Maths and English.
I will help your child to adopt an enthusiasm for learning and achieving by providing interesting lessons that consolidate and challenge. I plan all lessons according to your child`s own individual learning needs and ensure the relationship with child and parent is professional, relaxed and trusting.
Lessons are both fun and engaging whilst ensuring the fundamental concepts are grasped. I build a good rapport with my students from the onset and build their confidence so that they look forward to coming for their next tuition.

Louise started tutoring my son when he was in Year 5. At the time my son was struggling with English and, whilst he was better at Maths, he also needed support in this subject too. Louise was wonderful with my son instantly putting him at ease and using great techniques to help his learning. For example, Louise often used drama, when tutoring English, to help my son describe feelings and expressions which really expanded his vocabulary and his confidence. My son’s school teachers noticed the improvement in his school work and, as we got closer to SATs, Louise helped my son by teaching him study techniques. My son was also able to revise with Louise using old test papers. My son scored well above the national attainment levels in his SATs and I attribute this to Louise’s wonderful teaching skills. The study and exam skills helped my son when he sat tests for secondary schools. Louise continued to tutor my son during Year 7 and this consistency during the transition really helped him to adjust to ‘big school’. My son is now in Year 8 and he is still using the tools Louise taught him for revision and studying. I cannot recommend Louise highly enough.

We have been using Louise twice a week and my child adores her and enjoys her lessons.
He looks forward to when she arrives and he always has a smile at the end of the lesson .
Louise is very warm , open and approachable .
She is happy to discuss and works with the child .
I only wish I could have her everyday !
