I am a qualified, experienced teacher and lecturer (23 years ) and have worked in both primary and secondary schools, sixth form college and most recently at Essex University. I have several years experience as a senior examiner for Edexcel for A level Economics.

I have been a tutor for 13 years and now, specialise in one to one tuition for the CSSE 11+. I have tutored up to 17 children a year on a one to basis, however, with a slight career change during the day, I only have places for 7 children a year. I have an excellent understanding of what is required by the children to pass the eleven plus, and have developed fantastic resources to support my students in passing the exam. My success rates are high and often have a waiting list of up to two years.

My first degree is in Business and HRM (first class), I also hold a PGCE Business and Economics, a Masters in coaching and mentoring. My second degree is BSc in Oral Health Science (first class) Additionally, I am CIPD qualified, and have an up to date paediatric first aid certificate. I am OFSTED registered and hold an extended DBS certification.

I have a number of testimonies should you wish to consider me. I charge £32 a session, I only offer tutoring at my home, which is fully insured for the purpose.

Availability: I tutor at my home near to Thorpe Bay Station. I am currently full to capacity and have a full waiting list for September 2025. As such, I have no space anticipated until September 2026

Experience: 13 years of offering one to one tuition for 11+, SATS, Brentwood entry, Business Studies and Economics GCSE and A level. However, I have been teaching for 23 years in total as both a primary and secondary school teacher in addition to being a lecturer at University. I now though work locally as a dental practitioner and tutor of an evening.
