I offer fun and engaging lessons which help improve linguistic ability and boost language confidence, including French and Spanish GCSE, iGCSE, IB and A level lessons as well as beginner lessons. I have experience of AQA, Edexcel and Cambridge exam boards.
I tailor my lessons to meet the individual needs of my pupils, please contact me to discuss your requirements in more detail.

Experience: I have 15+ years experience of tutoring GCSE, IB and A level students, beginners and adults with outstanding results. I have in depth knowledge of all exam boards and tailor my lessons to meet the needs of every individual student. I have experience of private language teaching to children and adults in France, Spain, Italy and the UK. I have taught adults at a Business Language School in Bologna, Italy and have also worked as a teacher in a bilingual primary school in France. I have worked at a local secondary school teaching Spanish and French and helped a large number of students with their French and Spanish GCSE, IB and A level exams, including students who sit exams privately and study independently.

I have been tutored by Kate for just over a year to help with my French A-level. From the very first lesson, she has been patient and understanding, which helped to ease the pressure when I didn`t understand something. Kate uses many different approaches to explain a topic or concept in French, which I think is one of the reasons why she`s a great tutor as she personalises her teaching method to each student. I had been trying to understand French grammar for a very long time and just could not grasp all of the different rules, yet after just a few grammar lessons with Kate, I noticed a huge improvement in my grammar and I felt like I knew what I was doing in class and exams. My teachers even told me that they were extremely impressed with my progress over the past year, and that would not have been possible without Kate. She was also very attentive to any questions I had or topics I wanted to cover which further improved my knowledge. She helped me with speaking practice, reading, listening and translations as well, and was very helpful in explaining mark schemes and examiner reports so I knew exactly what they were looking for in the exam. I couldn`t recommend Kate enough!

Kate is a highly applauded French tutor. We are extremely lucky to have found her. Already our son has improved hugely in confidence in his French and aced his Mock exams. We look forward to continuing through to GCSE. Our son really enjoys the lessons, she is truly amazing.
