Information about Karishma
Karishma is the programme leader for the BSc Psychology (Counselling) course at the University of Northampton and a Senior Teaching Fellow for University College London (UCL)
As a mental health and health psychologist, completing both her BSc and PhD in Psychology with a postgraduate diploma in Statistics, Karishmas teaching and research interests lie within improving mental health, wellbeing and person-centred healthcare.
Karishma is an avid reader and researcher with over 10 years of experience working in clinical research. She has worked on industry research trials for the NIHR as a clinical studies officer and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She also currently holds positions as a member of the diversity and inclusion group and ethics committee at UON and Senior Teaching Fellow for University College London. Karishma has won awards for Young Researcher of the Year (2018) and Young Teacher Prize (2020) from the European Society for Person Centred Healthcare, demonstrating her commitment to teaching and research.
Outside of work, Karishma enjoys reading, cooking gourmet food and travelling, having enjoyed various cuisines from over 40 countries (and counting).

Experience: Karishma has been tutoring for over 15 years - her passion starting at the age of 15 as a Kumon Tutor and continued through university and post studies.
