I am a friendly and enthusiastic medical student studying at Swansea University who previously worked for a Cambridge-based, global engineering consultancy undertaking water projects in numerous countries around the world. From both backgrounds I have an excellent grasp and passion for science and mathematics which I try to develop in all of my students.
I have a wide range of tutoring and mentoring experience including private tuition where my most recent student went from a predicted Grade D to Grade B in three months. Other experience includes running youth clubs, scout troops and from being a kayak instructor.
I am a patient, natural teacher who enjoys helping students to understand subjects and develop beyond their expectations. As many students don’t reach their potential in larger groups I am particularly interested in improving their confidence and study habits and inspiring their interest so that they are motivated by an enjoyment of the subject as well as an ambition to achieve higher grades.
As well as being able to teach the subjects indicated, I am also able to coach students through the medical school application process including relevant work experience, UCAS statements, entrance exams and interviews.
