Information about Jessica
I qualified as a Spanish and French teacher, with a PGCE from King`s College London in 2017, and currently work in a co-educational Independent school in North London. Prior to this, I spent two years working at an `Outstanding` girls` comprehensive school, teaching Spanish across Key Stages 3 & 4. In 2019, 94% of students in my department achieved between a Grade 4 and a Grade 9. In 2018, in my department 92% of students achieved between a Grade 4 and a Grade 9 at GCSE, with 52% achieving grades 7-9.
I graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2016, with a First class degree in Spanish & Portuguese (Hispanic Studies), with Distinction in spoken Spanish and Portuguese.
Other than teaching, my main interest lies in theatre - I was an active member of the Nottingham New Theatre whilst at University, and represented my institution at the National Student Drama Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, both onstage as an actor and offstage as a producer and stage manager.
I am fun, friendly and dedicated, and would love to help you succeed and reach your goals!

Experience: In my Third Year of University, I spent 9 months in Spain as a British Council English Language Teaching Assistant in a primary school, where I gave lessons to small groups of pupils aged 4-11, as well as individual private tuition.
On returning to University, in my Final Year, I worked in the Nottingham University Samworth Academy on a specialised programme for Undergraduate Ambassadors to learn about and practise teaching languages in secondary schools. As well as this, I volunteer as a mentor for the charity organisation IntoUniversity in Nottingham.
I have also tutored part-time since being in Sixth Form, and my PGCE course at King`s College London gave me valuable experiences in a variety of schools. I am on the books at various top London tutoring agencies, and charge competitive rates.
