I am an enthusiastic and effective Lead Science teacher, currently teaching in a Secondary school in Manchester. I have specialisms to degree level in both Biology and Chemistry but have also taught Physics for the last 8 years.

I am currently undertaking a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership which adds to my understanding of the Science of learning - I am an expert in Cognitive Science - the Science of how students learn best and how knowledge passes into long term memory.

I am able to develop excellent working relationships with young people, they enjoy my lessons and improve quickly. I have excellent subject and exam skills knowledge, having been an external examiner for the last 5 years.
I am familiar with all major exam boards and the different demands of each.

My students have found great success through tutoring and it is something that is beneficial for students who work hard to achieve their goals.

Availability: I only do online tutoring since it gives me more time without travelling to tutor your child, this has been incredibly successful over the last year and since it improves my availability to tutor, hopefully we can tutor this way.

Experience: I am currently studying a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership, I have a National Professional Qualification in Middle Leadership in schools also. I have an undergraduate degree in Medical Biology with Pharmaceutical Science at a grade 2:1 with honours. I have a PGCE Secondary Science with KS5 teaching and have taught both A level and Level 3 Chemistry and Biology courses in my teaching career.

I have a student led approach to tutoring, with a lot of exam technique. I expect students to be able to improve by at least 2 grades with a 6 month period of one to one tutoring of around 1-2 hours per week - this has been measured through my experiences as a tutor that span over the last 10 years.

I have been teaching in schools for the last 15 years and have taught AQA, OCR and Edexcel new 9-1 specifications, as well as iGCSE which I have examined for, for the last 8 years. I have led the KS4 courses in Science and therefore, I have a wealth of experience to help improve your child`s grades.
