Information about Jemma

I’m a psychology tutor who genuinely loves helping people understand the subject and feel more confident in it.

I’ve studied psychology for years (BSc, MSc in Forensic Psychology, and MSc in Positive & Coaching Psychology), and alongside tutoring I work part-time in CAMHS (supporting children and young people’s mental health), run my own coaching practice, and contribute to research and writing in the field.

But more importantly, I remember what it actually feels like to be a student.

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck on certain topics, or just want to boost your grades, I aim to make sessions feel relaxed, supportive, and tailored to you. No pressure, no judgement, just a space where you can ask questions, build confidence, and properly understand what you’re learning.

I’ve worked with students aged 10–18 for several years, so I get the pressures that come with school, exams, and everything in between. I’m here to help you navigate that, whether you’re doing GCSEs, A-levels, or further study.

I also offer coaching alongside tutoring, which can be really helpful if confidence, motivation, or stress is getting in the way. So if you’re a student (or even a professional) looking for a bit more clarity and support, I’ve got you.

Availability: I`m currently available for online sessions during evenings and weekends, with some flexibility during weekdays depending on my schedule. Please feel free to get in touch and we can find a time that works for you.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I’ve spent over 10 years studying and working in psychology, and I bring that experience into my teaching in a really down-to-earth, practical way. I’ve supported students at all levels, from secondary school through to postgraduate study, and I always aim to make things clear, engaging, and easy to understand.

Because of my background in coaching and mental health, I’m naturally patient, empathetic, and a good listener. I know that everyone learns differently, so I adapt sessions to suit you, whether that’s breaking things down step by step, talking things through, or finding ways to make topics click.

Jemma has not been in contact for several weeks despite saying she would come to meet my daughter to look at offering her tuition. I have waisted my money paying to obtain her details from tutor hunt! Not impressed!!!

Very disappointing. I paid to obtain Jemma`s contact details and has been inconsistent in arranging a date to meet to discuss tutoring my daughter!!! I would not recommend waiting your money!
