I am a fully qualified teacher (PGCE) with over 10 years` experience of teaching English to speakers of other languages. Passionate about teaching and learning languages, I have extensive experience teaching IELTS, iGCSE English as a second language as well as improving English for general and academic purposes. Many or my students have progressed from CEFR A2 to B2 level over a year of intensive learning. In IELTS terms, this is equivalent to band level 5.5 to level.7


As a trained teacher, I am able to cater to learners of all abilities and learning styles while producing lessons that are interesting and fun. For each learner I create an individualized learning plan based on your ambitions and interests. I use a wide range or resources such as TED Talks, news articles and topical issues to make learning relevant and interesting.

I specialize and have experience in the following areas:

- Expanding vocabulary for academic and/ or general/social purposes.
- Writing for academic purposes.
- Developing reading and listening strategies.
- Improving fluency and accuracy in speaking and writing.
- Confidence building for speaking in academic and social situations.
- Proofreading and grammar checks for CVs, essays and personal statements

Availability: Online Skype lessons available:

Morning/ early afternoons between 10 am - 1pm on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays

Evenings between 8pm- 10pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays & Sundays
