Experience: I am a fully qualified enthusiastic teacher of Spanish and French and I have been teaching for 12 consecutive years.I have taught Spanish at KS3, KS4 and KS5; and French at KS3 and KS4
I`m currently teaching Spanish(KS3, KS4 and KS5)and French(KS3 and KS4) in a mixed comprehensive secondary school. I am committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students. I think that the welfare of each students is of a paramount importance. Therefore promoting a safe environment for children to learn and develop is my motto. I am also committed to provide an outstanding education as I have high expectations of what students can achieve and use information about different students` abilities to plan challenging lessons, which motivates students to make faster gains in their knowledge and understanding. I regularly check the progress that students are making in lessons by including AFL in all my lessons, addressing misconceptions as they arise and reinforcing students` knowledge and understanding. I also plan activities which encourage students to work things out for themselves. I strongly believe that students need to be encouraged to reflect on what they have learned and to think more deeply about their responses.
I am highly motivated by helping students reach their academic potential so I became an AQA GCSE Spanish examiner(speaking component Foundation/Higher) for last summer 2019 public examination. Becoming an examiner has given me the opportunity to gain an invaluable insight into the assessment process at AQA and enhance the understanding of my subject. All of which has enhanced my teaching.
