After teaching French and Spanish to a range of abilities at secondary schools, I now tutor students from home, as well as marking GCSE papers in June, and running speaking exams for private centre.

I am familiar with both Gcse and IGCSE boards. I also take on students who want to sit language exams privately, guiding them through the syllabus.

I have a range of resources from grammar books and text books, games, flashcards, and whatever else might help. I always aim to tailor lessons to suit each person`s needs, so tend to work from a variety of materials and try to make each lesson varied.

A parent as well as a teacher, I am aware of the difference private tuition can make, but also the financial cost to families. I therefore take my role very seriously, planning ahead as much as possible to maximise the time, but also being flexible and responsive to different needs.

Availability: I can be available after school/college with some earlier times available for A Level or home educated students.

Experience: After teaching English overseas, I worked as a Secondary school French and Spanish teacher up to A Level before becoming a private tutor. I have continued to teach private pupils as well as marking exam scri pts for Pearson Edexcel and writing about education.
