I am friendly, reliable, and pride myself on my approachable manner. I strive to make learning interesting and engaging. I have been rated `outstanding` by OFSTED and have numerous qualifications within the education sector, including a PGCE and senior leadership qualifications. I regularly facilitate teacher training events and have over 10 years experience in the education sector.
I will tailor any tuition to your specific needs, I am happy to set homework and mark any work that is completed, and you can contact me between sessions if you have any questions that you need help with.

Experience: I currently deliver consultancy work to secondary schools, and tutor both online and in person. I have experience teaching primary students to help them prepare for 11+, SAT and secondary school, KS3 students who need extra support, GSCE students preparing for their exams or A level tuition. I also teach international students English as a second language and can help with international English examinations. A particular strength of mine is preparing my students for school entrance exams, including Westminster and Eton. My school entrance rate for the students whom I have tutored is 100%.
I also offer math tuition to KS1, 2,and 3.
I have worked in 4 Schools across Essex, Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. I have been KS3 coordinator and the Assistant Head of sixth form in my previous school, and have also held the position of the Head of English in a large secondary school.
I also have lots of experience delivering professional development courses for training, newly qualified and experienced teachers.
I am available to tutor both in person and online via skype.

Dan has been a fantastic tutor- he related really well to my son and his teaching style helped to build my sons confidence in GCSE English language and literature. He taught the layout of each exam paper and the best approach/techniques to answer every question. My son successfully passed every exam paper in both subjects. I strongly recommend Dan and only wish I had started lessons in Year 10, rather than the summer holiday before Year 11.

Dan is a highly experienced and capable tutor and from the first lesson draws out the best from his pupils. He obviously enjoys teaching his subject and his enthusiasm has a positive effect on whoever he is teaching. His lessons are well planned and engaging and he completely understands the expectations of all the different examining boards. He has excellent knowledge of the texts and helps his pupils to understand how to interpret them and how best to answer exam questions. He always gives excellent advice and his lessons are engaging and tailored to his students. Always friendly and supportive and extremely professional, I would not hesitate to recommend him.
