Highly motivated physics Tutor.
My name is Anton. I have a master`s degree in Physics from the University of New Hampshire. I started to tutor in 2010. I enjoyed the job and gradually I became a full-time tutor. During the last seven years, I accumulated extensive teaching experience and I helped more than 50 students to be admitted in UK and USA universities. I primarily teach:
A-level physics - OCR, AQA, and Edexcel exam boards
Cambridge Pre-U Physics
Advanced Placement (AP) Physics
International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - Physics (SL) and (HL).
Occasionally I teach university-level subjects such as Mechanics, Electrodynamics, and Quantum Mechanics.
My approach to teaching is based on a three-fold strategy.
First - THE CONCEPTS.
Most of the students consider physics the most difficult subject they have ever taken. That`s why I apply extra effort to make sure that the student has a proper understanding of the concepts, not just memorizing facts. I easy detect weak spots in students understanding and this gives me chance to focus on the most relevant topics.
Second - INTERACTIVE AND ENGAGING LESSON.
I carefully prepare myself for each session, and my goal is to make the student involved in the lesson not just leaving him to listen to me. I use software for interactive simulations. Believe me, it helps a lot if the student can actually see and play with different physical phenomena instead of just imagining it.
Third - PRACTICE:
Part of my lesson will be devoted to solving problems from past papers. I might either solve the problems by myself or monitor the student solving approach. I will explain some tricks and perhaps show you more efficient solutions. My observation is that if the student goal is to achieve an A grade it requires at least two hours of tutoring per week throughout the academic year, of course, some students ask for more. In any case, it will give me great pleasure to help you improve your knowledge and make you feel the beauty of PHYSICS.

Had a really positive experience with Anton. He did an initial assessment and was very honest about the current skill levels (Physics) and what he could achieve. His approach is methodical and he is able to break down complex subject areas into manageable pieces. He has also helped with exam technique both in identifying what to look for in the exam questions and then how to answer questions to maximise marks. This has helped with the confidence in managing the exam process. I would recommend Anton.

Fantastic Tutor!
My daughter is currently doing her A levels and out of the 3 subjects, Biology, Chemistry and Physics the last subject was the one she liked the least.
After she started her lessons with Anton it had changed dramatically, Anton transferred the passion he has for this subject to my daughter and it is now one of her favourite subjects, her grade improved and her confidence had grown.
