Information about Ishita
I am a doctor (MBBS) at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and I have tutored 50+ students privately to them achieve their offer requirements and target universities.
I completed my MBBS (2025) at Imperial College London, receiving a Distinction in Clinical Practice, and a 1st class honours in my iBSc in Pharmacology (2023). I achieved A*A*A in Biology, Psychology and Chemistry A-levels.
Having completed my A levels at The Tiffin Girls` School, one of the top grammar schools, I would like to tutor those who were in my position. From resources to exam technique, I am delighted to strengthen the knowledge of my students. I am patient, engaging, and hardworking, with plenty of experience, so I hope to teach the difficult content in a more manageable way.
I am committed to my students, following their specific exam board and teaching the content in advance to give them enough time for revision and exam practice before exams. Having sat the new A-level curriculum, I fully understand the content and exam technique, and I have plenty of resources, exam packs, and notes to share.
I have 6+ years of experience in teaching personal statement and interview preparation courses. Although I primarily help those applying for MBBS, I have also aided those applying for psychology and pharmacology. I aim to teach all the possible topics that may be asked during an interview: e.g. why medicine, qualities of a doctor, the NHS, medical dilemmas / controversies, ethical issues, role-play scenarios, medical hot topics (A&E wait times, euthanasia, Junior doctor contracts, etc.), and more. I also run mock interviews with feedback. I offer hand-outs with all the information summarised.
I completed the UKCAT, BMAT, interviews and EPQ alongside my Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology A-levels.
GCSEs: 9A*s, 2As
A-levels: A*A*A
MBBS: distinction in clinical practice
Pharmacology iBSc: first class (hons)
I currently work part-time with Geeky medics to write exam questions. I have also been on the panel for medical interviews at Imperial. With this advantage, I am able to teach my students specific content and exam technique to ensure they achieve the best marks possible.
