I have been tutoring for over 15 years and have worked with students ranging from 5 to 18 years old. I have experience working with students that have been disengaged, that have high needs and students that just need a little support to gain their goal. As a person I am very calm, empathetic, approachable and positive. I am currently working as a subject lead of English and teaching is something that I absolutely love. I hope I am able to pass a little bit of that enjoyment and motivation and help bring it to life for others! I also work for an exam board marking the GCSE English papers and so when Tutoring GCSE students I can really help them understand how to gain maximum marks in the papers.

Experience: I have worked in education for the past 10 years and my teaching experience ranges from teaching on Basic Skills programmes to teaching at GCSE and A Level. One of my strengths is being able to relate to all walks of life, ages and being able to draw the potential out of all those I support.
I studied Drama and Education at University and came out with a high 2.1 BA Honours and have completed by teacher training. I have worked in Adult Education, the special needs sector and Further Education - my varied experience has shaped my approach to teaching and whilst I am firm I am also compassionate and understand that education can be a hurdle to many. I love to come up with creative sessions to make sure that the student is engaged and motivated and I have supported many students through KS2/3 and GCSE’s with high success. I have also tutored students at a young age who need that crucial support to connect with and understand a subject. I work hard to tailor a session to the student’s needs and particular learning style and am committed to seeing them through their learning journey.
