Information about Larysa
I`m a passionate and enthusiastic A Level Psychology teacher (Subject Leader) with experience teaching GCSE Psychology. I have a BSc in Psychology with a PGCE within the specialism too! I have recently also graduated with a MEd (Psychology of Education) Merit from the University of Manchester.
I have experience marking for the current AS & A Level qualifications to help each student get the very best out of every question. I also provide personalised materials for each lesson based upon each individual`s strengths and weaknesses within the subject.
I help to build confidence and exam technique within research methods, knowledge, application and evaluation skills and calm nerves surrounding those pesky 12 & 16 mark essays! Tutoring sessions are goal oriented to allow clear progress to be shown, with an emphasis on best results, in a friendly but challenging environment.
Availability: I am available mainly on week day evenings but offer more flexibility during school holidays.

Experience: I am an experienced AS & A Level Psychology Teacher with experience teaching a wide range of subjects at both GCSE & A Level. These include: GCSE Psychology, GCSE & A Level Photography, BTEC Level 2 & Level 3 Health & Social Care, AS & A Level Sociology and GCSE & A Level Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
Alongside teaching I have gained a wealth of experience in mentoring students through the UCAS/ Personal Statement process to aid their progression onto University.
I have also presented at careers events at the University of Manchester to help undergraduate students reach their full potential. I am a fully qualified First Aider and have taught a variety of First Aid sessions leading to individuals gaining a nationally recognised qualification.

My son has had tutoring from Larysa for the last 12 months and has found her to be very professional. Larysa has a natural teaching disposition which is friendly and effective. My son looks forward to her lessons and genuinely enjoys them. Thank you for all your support Larysa, Manav has gained alot of self confidence now that he knows what to expect in his exams.

Larysa has been truly exceptional as a tutor. We took her on early this year when our daughter said she was struggling understanding some of the key concepts for her Psychology A level syllabus. From being predicted a B at that point, she has steadily improved her results and was getting A* results in her mocks. She is now approaching her actual exams with real confidence. Larysa`s style is both approachable and professional. Being a teacher during the day means she has a strong grasp of the syllabus and has had time to work out the best way to explain some of the more complex and esoteric concepts in Psychology and in such a way that they stick. My daughter is having A-level Psychology lessons with Larysa and she is so happy and gets so much out of the lesson that she finds every minute adding value to her knowledge and exam techniques. Larysa knows how to teach, motivate and tailor the knowledge in student`s way of learning. Thank you very much so far!
