I am a highly driven and passionate educationalist, currently working as a French Teacher and Student Voice Leader at a highly oversubscribed Outstanding school in West London. As a French Teacher I have received special commendation for the outstanding progress made by my students (92% of students received grades 7-9 in my most recent GCSE cohort). As Leader of Student Voice I design and lead a wide range of initiatives to enhance whole-school participation in Student Voice. Under my leadership as Head of French, the department has achieved its best ever GCSE results and students enjoyed a wider variety of cross-curricular enrichment opportunities.

Alongside my teaching responsibilities I have been an active private tutor for the past seven years. I have supported students in successfully receiving Oxbridge offers, achieving exceptional grades at GCSE and A-Level across a range of subjects (French, English, Religious Studies, Philosophy, Spanish KS3/4) and most importantly in instilling a love of learning and a belief that anything is possible if we are willing to put some effort in.

I am passionate about education and about sharing my love of learning with each student I teach. I tailor my sessions to the needs, backgrounds and abilities of each tutee by focussing on building positive working relationships and taking a holistic view. My sessions incorporate rich knowledge as well as a focus on key skills in metacognition and developing a growth mindset. I make the most of rigorous teaching methods in order to assess learning throughout each session, identify any misconceptions and adapt my approach accordingly.

I have extensive experience in making the most of technology in order to facilitate successful online tutoring sessions. During this time of quarantine I will be exclusively offering sessions online.
