Information about Amy
I mainly tutor maths GSCE, although I am happy to tutor Physics up to A-level standard and chemistry up to GCSE. I am an atmospheric physics PhD who now works within my field as a researcher at university. My undergraduate and masters degrees are in theoretical physics. Throughout my education I have gained a deep understanding of mathematical (and physics) concepts, and over the last couple of years I have developed a strong tutoring style: light-hearted, building concepts up from the basics and going through lots of examples and exam questions. I aim to draw on my solid understanding and tutoring experience to help tutees achieve their potential in exams. I can offer fun tuition sessions which will break tricky concepts down into digestible chunks.
Availability: Sunday morning (9am-1pm) and evening (from 4:30pm).
Monday at 4pm or 7pm.
Tuesday, Thursday or Friday any time from 5pm.
Willing to travel: 3 miles
Experience: I am currently tutoring Maths, Physics and Chemistry GCSE and have been doing so for the last year. Previously I have been a GCSE science tutor for 6 months, an A-level physics tutor for 3 months and have experience of mentoring summer school students at university.
