Hey! My name is Monalisa, and I recently finished my masters in Biomedical Sciences at Newcastle University. I am a mathematics and biology tutor, and I teach anywhere from KS1 all the way to A-levels! Aside from being passionate about this field, I am an enthusiastic tutor who always pushes her students to their limit. I have been tutoring for over three years now, both 1-1 privately and large groups in tuition centres; what I gathered from my experience is that tuition is the most effective way to improve your memorisation abilities! You will never leave a session without 100% knowledge on the topic you do with me. My flexibility and independent nature allowed me to then get through my GCSEs with excellent grades; besides teaching biology, I strive to guide my students into developing their resilience and diligence. Therefore, if I can do it, you will succeed too!

WORK EXPERIENCE

August 2020 - Present - Tutor at Mytutor

I taught several groups of students to help them understand subjects such as GCSE Maths and Biology.
I went beyond the regular curriculum by creating teaching plans and activities that relate to individual needs of
students, to help them achieve their desired targets.

Through mytutor, I teach both 1to1 and classrooms of 5/6 pupils.

September 2019- September 2020 - Tutor befriender, Success4All, Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK

I worked as a tutor befriender, whilst working towards AQA Level 3 Tutor Befriender Award. I developed and enhanced my communication and writing skills by helping primary and secondary school tutees with their homework and provided feedback to the students and their parents about their progress.
