Experience: Having gained a BMus (Hons) in Music I went on to achieve a PGCE with QTS status in Primary Education (Upper Primary Specialism). My teaching experience of ten years has included working in Pre-prep, Prep and State maintained settings. I have experience of EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in this sector.
With an Associate Diploma from Trinity Guildhall I am able to prepare students for Speech and Drama qualifications to the higher performance certificates and Medals levels. I also hold the P. Cert LAM from LAMDA so can offer elocation as well as speech and drama lessons. Having studied music at degree level, I am able to prepare students for Theory of Music examinations notably the Grade 5 ABRSM Certificate.
In my previous school as KS1 Leader and at my current school, as a senior leader, I am responsible for leading Literacy across the school so can prepare children for undertaking the Common Entrance examinations (11+) which I have had experience of.
Finally I have worked with children with special needs, notably Asperger`s and cerebral palsy and have been able to support them with their Maths learning using numicon which supports the new National Curriculum.
