I am a fully-qualified teacher, who currently works at an independent school teaching students from ages 9-18. I specialise in teaching French up to university level and can teach Spanish up to Key Stage 5 (A-level).
I am a passionate linguist and I am keen to pass on my enthusiasm to students. I have been living and breathing multiculturalism throughout my life as my family speak many languages, my parents are immigrants and I have travelled and made friends from around the world. I was raised speaking French and experienced total immersion in the language by attending summer camps in Haute-Savoie. This experience has given me an appreciation of languages and different cultures. I believe that a different language is a different vision of the world. Every language is accompanied by a different culture, which allows you to look at the world from a different perspective, become more open-minded and allow you to grow as an individual. As a language teacher, I want to unearth the hidden subtleties of language and show students the true French and Spanish culture.

Experience: -I have been working as a fully-qualified teacher in the private sector for 7 years and with + 3 years as an unqualified teacher.
-I have a BA French and Politics degree (2:1) from the University of Nottingham.
-I obtained my PGCE teaching qualification in Modern Foreign Languages at the University of Bristol.
- I obtained my Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) training and assessment at the highly reputable boarding school, St Mary’s School in Calne.
- I have a Spanish certificate of level C1, obtained at Cervantes International School of Alicante.
-I have a Certificate of French Training- Level C1 + C2 from University Lille 3.
-I have also worked as a professional translator, translating for NGOs, the tourism industry and charities.
-I have also lived in Lille, France, where I taught in schools both in the public sector and private.
-I have lived in Alicante and Mallorca, Spain.
