I’m an experienced Mathematics, 11+ and Private School Entrance Exam Tutor, also a parent of two children, living in Shepperton where I have been tutoring for some time. I have a Maths Degree from Manchester University and have complete knowledge of the GCSE and KS 2 to 4 curriculum. I have two children myself, which helps keep things in perspective and has given me direct experience of the joys of school exams, different learning styles and the current curriculum. I teach and specialise in Maths for children and adults of all ability levels. My approach is based on structured one hour sessions usually once per week and normally weekday afternoons and early evenings, but can do weekends if required. I like to map out a plan with parents at an early stage that we can then set out to achieve together and assess progress against regularly. I am a patient and approachable tutor able to get the best out of all ability levels - I work on the confidence of the student as well as the knowledge itself and exam approach. Maths is a challenging subject so keeping things simple and working step by step helps the student click things into place.
All my students have reached or beaten their objectives. I currently tutor both Foundation and Higher students for GCSE Maths. Any age for entrance exams, Maths, Verbal, English and Nonverbal subjects.
Availability: Monday to Saturday

Mario has been very helpful teaching my son in the lead up to his GCSE exams. He has supported him on topics he was finding difficult as well as covering any gaps in his learning. Mario has also provided advice on good exam techniques and has built up my son’s confidence in preparation for his exams.

Mario has been flexible and responsive to my son`s needs, and has coached him in the areas where he really needed support! His advice and guidance to prepare him for school interviews was incredibly helpful, and enabled my son to get through his interview successfully!
