Berenice

I am Berenice, an enthusiastic native French teacher for teenagers. Have fun learning French, do not let it just be a GCSE topic! French Tutoring Fun supports teenagers in their GCSE French preparation.

I personally struggled speaking English despite 8 years of school lessons because I only had 1-2 hours a week. I was also very shy and I did not want to speaking in front of my classmates. Unfortunately, the lessons were not enjoyable for me. After my studies, I decided to go to England to improve my English, full of aspiration. I was motivated with a lot of ambition and one day, I decided to provide French lessons.

I take a personalized approach to French GCSE preparation, tailoring my teaching to each student`s individual needs and learning style, while following the syllabus.

MY MISSION

Supporting teenagers to excel in their GCSE French and I want them to enjoy learning the language and not be a language they need to pick at school because they have to.


WHO IS IT FOR?

Teenagers who lack of confidence to speak another language at school. Also, teenagers who are motivated to succeed and have a real interest in the language and work hard but have difficulties and need additional support.

Experience: I started providing French tutoring in 2016 to a young lady for a few weeks for her end of year exam. Then, Richard for 2 years! I had a 11-year-old boy who just started learning French at school. And more students now. Teenagers only have 1 to 2 hours of French every week at school and three years after they have their French GCSE which requires different skills (writing, speaking, pronunciation, listening, reading).

With this experience, I realized I need to focus on the GCSE syllabus and teenagers need to start practising with exercises as soon as possible for them to get the most of their lessons with me and be prepared for their GCSE.

I have been able to create content on different platform (blog, Youtube, social media) and provide private tutoring to more students. My students have gained confidence while speaking French. They have been able to improve their pronunciation significantly. Thanks to practising with exercises, conversations, my students have gained a higher range of vocabulary and improved their grammar skills.

When we first started, my husband and I, taking French lessons with Berenice we were a bit worried, as I am very shy and I don’t like making mistakes, etc. My husband was a totally beginner. But we were positively surprised, from day 1!! Berenice is very friendly and put us at ease!! We learned so much thanks to her lessons and her style, which give us always space for everything: reading, comprehension, pronunciation and conversation. We never felt weird to make mistakes, and she was always very smiling and fun, so the lessons are always something to look forward to.
