Information about Gabriella

I`m a very experienced Learning Support Assistant working in an exciting multicultural Academy near Finsbury Park.

I graduated from a red brick university with honours in English and Social Anthropology in 2010, worked in France, then completed an MA in Comparative Literature and Culture at Goldsmiths College, University of London.

Additionally, I am currently working towards an MSc in Global Politics and Criminology though Birkbeck College, University of London.

I`m comfortable teaching all age ranges and have particular expertise in preparing pupils for their GCSE and A Level exams.

Given my academic background and personal strengths I would love the opportunity to tutor the following subjects English Literature, English Language, French, History, Geography, Politics and Sociology.

I am also strongly commitment to helping students to improve their literacy skills and am a trained, competent teacher of English as an additional language.

I`m warm, approachable, patient and happy to tailor tutoring programmes to the specific needs of the learner. My recent experience working with SEN students qualifies me to work with pupils who present challenging behaviour and perhaps struggle in the school environment.

Availability: Weeknights (Monday- Friday) after 4pm and Weekends all day.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I have extensive experience in tutoring children and young adults aged between 4 and 20 years of age. Prior to my current role I worked with schools and individuals in Paris, France as an English, Humanities and Social Sciences tutor.

Furthermore, my school-based role requires me to plan and deliver literacy booster classes to pupils and fulfil a pastoral role as a caring, supportive member of the teaching staff.

I do not usually leave any negative comments but after paying the £25 fee to obtain Gabi`s details and having arranged a time she requested a change of day which I happily agreed to and I then never heard back again to messages on this site or by text/mobile. I am SO disappointed. We do not have money to lose so freely and trust that professionals are just that - professional. I cannot report on her teaching skills. I also did not then take up offers from other tutors and now have to start the whole process again.

Just wanted to say that we used Gaby for 6 months to improve my sons English skills. Gaby made a huge difference to his confidence and knowledge. Gaby is very dedicated and passionate about English and tutoring. I would highly recommend her if your child needs to improve. She has great techniques for children to sustain the relevant knowledge required to up their grades. Also, she`s a very nice, amicable and a professional lady.
