Information about Matthew
I went to Reading school so have both passed the 11+ test as well as invigilated it so I know an inside knowledge of how the 11+ works in both Reading and Kendrick. Now just finished Bachelors of a Mechanical Engineering Degree at Birmingham University with a first and taking a year out to work in Reading before finishing my Masters.
I love engineering, if you are a prospective engineering student I can not only help with passing your exams but also prepare you with skills that will put you ahead at your University course (as well as maybe passing on a few social survival tips!).
In my spare time I love to tinker, I have built 3D printers, robotic instruments as well as a 1000mpg car in my spare time, I would love to help inspire and teach another student about engineering and maths and hopefully also ground the subject into real life (as my A-level knowledge has certainly been used to build half these things)
I remember sitting my A-levels and not understanding the over all scope of the course, I was constantly worried that the exam board could throw a curve-ball and ask a question I had no chance answering. However I managed to go through every past paper and make a systematic method for answering every question that deals with any tricks the examiners can throw at you whilst only needing to remember core formulas. I will help you learn these skills and how to learn the course more efficiently and quickly.
Availability: I can work pretty much any time that suits you at the moment.
Willing to travel: 8 miles
Experience: I used to teach younger years in Reading library as preparation for their GCSE`s. I did volunteer latin teaching at Caversham primary and Hemdean house while I was at school as well. I also organised engineering work for disadvantaged school kids at Hunters Hill College in Birmingham helping them build their own car and teaching the students hands on engineering skills they wouldn`t normally get.

Matthew is helping our son to build his confidence and further understand concepts in maths in preparation for his GCSE`s. He is friendly and approachable and plans sessions around our son`s needs.
