Information about Andrew

TRIPLE VACCINATED ENGLISH & HISTORY TUTOR

TUTORING ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS

I am experienced English and History tutor, based in the Hampton Court area, looking for new students to tutor in their homes(or online) with exciting and engaging lessons. I have past recommendations(see feedback) in boosting students` grades.

I am based in the Hampton Court area, and have been(and currently) tutoring KS3, GCSE & A-level students English & History in their own homes, and recently online due to Covid. I have a real passion for teaching and engaging with my students, in order to bring out their full potential. Furthermore, I also teach the English side of the 11+, and have managed to get 2 brothers into Tiffin Boys.

I have tutored students from the following schools: St James, Tiffin Girls & Boys, Radnor House, Teddington, Waldegrave, Orleans Park and St Bernard`s Catholic Grammar School. A few years ago I home-tutored a GCSE student, which resulted in him getting a 8(A*) in English Literature and 7(A) in English Language. Not only do I work during term-time, I teach during the holidays.

Furthermore, I am now currently registered as a tutor in Radnor House Twickenham.

Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Kindest regards,

Andrew

`Andrew has tutored my son for the last year after he was predicted grade 2`s in his GCSES. Andrew managed to engage my son who had totally lost interest, he helped to rebuild his confidence in English and History. We have just received his GCSE results, and he has passed with a 5 and 6 in his subjects taught by Andrew. My son will now go on to study A level English and History with the support of Andrew. I was so happy to find Andrew through this site, I can not recommend him enough, he has changed my son`s future.

Lisa from Teddington

`Mr Andrew is a very committed, enthusiastic and resourceful tutor. He, always, explained his teaching plan in detail. My child thoroughly enjoyed his tutoring sessions which were not only informative but also interactive. His mentoring helped my child to acheive good grades in both English Language and Literature.`

Dr Selvem, Hounslow

`We employed Andrew 3 months before our son’s GCSE’s. Our son was heading for a disastrous result after obtaining a 3 in both English Literature and Language in his mocks. He very much disliked his teacher at school and did not enjoy the books. He had resisted having a tutor, but finally agreed to having one.

In three months, Andrew, through his natural love and flair for the subject, managed to catch our son’s attention. He planned lessons creatively and informally. He changed the setting to avoid boredom: kitchen, garden, garden studio, and was able to engage with a reluctant sixteen year old.

Andrew’s relaxed and natural teaching paid off. Our son obtained a grade 6 and 4 respectively, thus avoiding retakes, our worst nightmare. We were exceedingly impressed with this turn around and are very grateful to Andrew for his talent with this age group.`

Marta from Hampton

`Andrew was full of ideas in how to enthuse my, often very unenthusiastic, son. He came to all lessons prepared with ideas and was very reliable.
He has good subject knowledge on the literature.`

Claire from Twickenham

`Andrew is a fantastic English Language and English Literature GCSE tutor. He has boundless enthusiasm for the subjects and he is pro active in his teaching methods. Andrew is always punctual and perceptive to my son’s strengths and weaknesses. Highly recommended.`

Andrew is and outstanding tutor who clearly understands my child’s needs. Furthermore, his lessons are not only educational but creative too. In the last few months, my son’s grades in English have risen dramatically. In addition, his teacher has emphasised my child’s confidence has excelled. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Andrew for tutoring English.

Andrew is a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic teacher who clearly has a passion for History and knows his subject matter thoroughly. He worked with my daughter for a number of months prior to her GCSEs and with her help she obtained a grade 7 (only a few marks off an 8). I would have no hesitation recommending him to others.
