I am an experienced tutor (BA English Literature, UCL 2009) who has been helping students with 11+ Entrance Exams, SATs, GCSEs, and UCAS applications. In addition to my undergraduate degree in English Literature, I have also completed law school (Graduate Diploma in Law (Commendation) and Legal Practice Course (Commendation)) and am currently working as a corporate lawyer in the City. However, due to continued demand and my inherent passion to help students achieve their highest potential, I have continued to provide my tutoring services.
I am located in Eastcote/Pinner and so primarily work with students in North West and Central London.

My focus is in:

1) Providing high quality individual English tuition ranging from primary school all the way up to GCSE level; and
2) Entrance exam preparation for students from the ages of 7-11, covering all stages of the 7+, 11+ and SAT exams (English, Maths, Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning).

I myself attended Haberdashers’ Aske’s School for Girls (Elstree) on a full scholarship so am particularly familiar with the applications, entry requirements and formalities for both Grammar and Independent Schools.

I also assist students of all ages, helping them with applications and interview preparations for both schools and universities including personal statements and UCAS applications (Russell Group and Oxbridge).

I am an incredibly versatile teacher and have experience working with children from all backgrounds ranging from State to Grammar and Independent Schools. My excellent communication skills, strong academic background and ability to connect with students on an individual basis enable me to bring out the very best in them.

As well as building an excellent rapport with my students, I have often also been praised by the parents for my subject/industry knowledge and ability to deliver excellent results through empathetic and tailored teaching.

Experience: Since graduating from UCL in 2009, I have tutored children across all ages and abilities from primary school all the way up to GCSE level.

Secondary School and GCSE:
I have extensive experience of providing high quality one-to-one English tutoring to students from Year 7 up to GCSE level. I have helped students across all backgrounds (state/grammar/independent), ages and abilities overcome their challenges and go on to achieve excellent grades. The use of sets to rank pupils in secondary school can often be demotivating but I have tailored classes to each student’s needs and subsequently enabled them to move up through sets and surpass their predicted grades. In addition to support with their school work, I can assist with literacy, essay writing, vocabulary, coursework guidance and more. I am also familiar with all the main exam boards such as WJEC, OCR, AQA and Edexcel.

University/UCAS applications and Interview Prep:
I have also assisted students with full university preparation from helping with writing their personal statements to general UCAS application guidance and preparing them for interviews.
